1- Hustle

Adam Sandler and drama is enough for me to be interested, then you add sports in the narrative and its an instant winner for me. Adam was incredible in “Uncut Gems”. He was phenomenal when the chips were stacked against him. I love when Adam Sandler’s character is desperate. I dont know where Sandler draws this emotion from, but I want to see more of it. In this trailer, Adam is desperate. Im so excited to see this film.

2- Elvis

Baz Luhrmann took a lot of risks in maintaining his style with The Great Gatsby. This? This looks like a rooted view on a man named Elvis who lived larger than life. A guy who can be one of the very few American’s who can say they are the coolest humans in America. I cant wait to see Austin Butler take on the rhinestone collar. Oh, and Tom Hanks is in it. So its at least guaranteed to be good.

3- The NBA Finals

Extremely good offense vs. Extremely tough defense. This is a fun unique matchup, with the added element of no super teams, terrifying trios or anything. Jayson Tatum has been wonderful these playoffs. The winner of the Larry Bird ECF MVP award has averaged 27 points on 44.6% shooting. While having the burden of 41 minutes per game. He’s been efficient and taking the next level to superstardom. On the Western front, the Warriors have had the splash back Thompson and Curry are averaging a combined 45.7 points. With the defensive effort of Draymond Green its been like “those Warriors” haven’t left. The Warriors have gotten strong performances from the likes of Kevon Looney, Jonathan Kuminga, and Jordan Poole.

4- NBA Draft

Who ya got? Chet, Jabari, or Paolo. That is the question. It will be answered on June 23rd. On a more personal level, I am so excited to see if Illini C Kofi Cockburn gets drafted. He is an interesting fit in todays NBA. for the Bulls, give me EJ Liddell please.

5- SUMMER

The things on the screens are amazing, yes. This Summer though with boating, hiking with my pup Riggins, and going to different festivals whether in Central Illinois or Southern Illinois. It will be a great Summer for me. Oh and its the opening of Rendleman Orchards!
