Burklund’s Beliefs 4/12

Every day Ill give you 5 of my opinions about anything in bite sized opinions.

1- This might have been the moment of the day in baseball. Dee Gordon was pitching and hit an opposing player. The reaction is MUST SEE. Baseball has lost itself a bit, and moments like this can make us remember that baseball can in fact be fun.

2- More baseball fun, as a player with a “dump truck” knows how to use it.

3- It amazes me how many people “freshman hug” in college basketball. There is a segment of college basketball fans, that are always enamored with the prospective greatness of a young basketball player, and would rather have them than a transfer who can help out right away. In the world of top notch college hoops, you cant afford to wait on a player to develop. You need results ASAP if you want to survive.

4- The Reds owner made an ass out of himself today. He made threats about moving from Cincinnati, cried poor, and basically said to the fans ‘what do you expect us to do?’ in an interview with WLW ahead of the Reds home opener. If owners cant/wont put competitive teams on the field, what are we even doing here? Sell the team, and that owner can spend.

5- It seems like the bugs in Southern Illinois are a aware that Spring and Summer are here. I cant even take my phone out without being swarmed by the little pests that love that light.
